Adam Kinson

Full Stack Web Developer

I am an actuary and web developer living in Boston’s South End. For over seven years, I have worked in insurance product management, specializing in pricing personal home and auto coverages. Over this time, I uncovered a real passion for building things like user-friendly analytical tools and optimized data queries. That passion was the foundation for basically all of my early career success, so I set out in 2015 to add programming to my skill set.

After researching every possible way of learning to really code, I enrolled in Viking Code School’s web development program in May of 2015. I started to split my time between my job and coding, and poured 30-35 hours a week into Viking’s curriculum for 5 months. Over this time, I built and deployed several fully-functioning web apps replicating popular e-commerce sites and social networks using frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, and AngularJS.
